We recruit our volunteers from
all walks of life and backgrounds.
To ensure the safety of our clients, all
volunteers are required to attend the
necessary training and orientation
sessions and complete a volunteer
application package. St. Luke’s screens
all applicants by performing criminal
background checks, DMV checks,
personal reference and medical checks.
Once this screening process is
completed and all the information
cleared, a volunteer is matched with
a client based on common interest
and background.
To quote a volunteer: “I knew that
I wanted to help someone, give back
to society, but I had no idea how my
own life would change…how much
more fulfilled and happy I feel.”
